Oil and Gas Glove

Oil and Gas Gloves are professional safety gloves customized for high-risk working environments in the petroleum and natural gas industry, suitable for oilfield exploration, drilling, oil and gas operation, pipeline maintenance and other harsh working conditions. Manufactured with high-strength oil-resistant, acid and alkali-resistant, anti-aging composite materials, the gloves overcome the defects of ordinary gloves such as easy corrosion and damage. Tailored for extreme environments with heavy oil pollution, frequent friction and alternating high and low temperatures, they deliver industry-specific comprehensive protection performance.
Our oil and gas gloves feature excellent oil corrosion resistance, liquid penetration resistance, wear resistance, tear resistance, anti-static and low-temperature protection capabilities. They effectively isolate erosion from crude oil, lubricants and chemical reagents, and protect hands from equipment friction, sharp metal scratches, low-temperature frostbite and minor mechanical impacts. The thickened reinforced structure and non-slip palm texture maintain a stable and firm grip even in oily environments, preventing slipping of tools and pipelines. The ergonomic design fits hand contours perfectly with flexible performance, ensuring precise operation. With breathable, sweat-wicking and weather-resistant properties, it adapts to long-term outdoor exposure work.

How to Choose Leather?

Leather impact-resistant gloves are mainly made of two types of leather: cowhide and sheepskin.

Cowhide is divided into top-grain cowhide and split cowhide. It features excellent tear resistance, puncture resistance and wear resistance, ideal for scenarios requiring strong support and protection, such as welding, material handling and mechanical operation.

Sheepskin includes goatskin and lambskin. It is lightweight, thin and soft, fitting snugly like a second skin. It stays flexible without stiffness when bent and offers a delicate hand feel, perfect for urban commuting, short-distance riding and winter warmth.

  1. Oil & Gas (The “Iron Roughneck” Standard)

In upstream oil and gas, workers are constantly handling drill pipes, heavy chains, and valves slick with “mud” and lubricants.

Why Leather? Synthetic fabrics can absorb oil and become “spongy” or slippery. High-quality goatskin or cowhide provides a natural grip that actually improves as it breaks in.

The Application: Tripping pipe, operating heavy wrenches, and moving equipment where “pinch-points” are constant hazards.

  1. Heavy Construction & Demolition

While many construction workers use synthetic gloves, leather is the go-to for abrasive tasks.

Why Leather? It has superior resistance to “grinding” wear. If you are handling concrete blocks, rough timber, or rusted rebar, leather won’t fray like knit synthetics.

The Application: Breaking concrete with jackhammers (requires anti-vibration + impact), rigging cranes, and moving heavy masonry.

  1. Welding & Metal Fabrication

This is a unique niche where synthetic impact gloves usually fail because the fabric would melt from sparks or heat.

Why Leather? Leather is naturally flame-resistant and can withstand heat up to about 430°F (220°C) before it begins to char.

The Application: MIG/Stick welding where you are also handling heavy metal plates that could fall or crush fingers. The leather protects from the heat, while the back-of-hand TPR protects from physical strikes.

  1. Mining & Underground Utility Work

Mining involves some of the harshest physical conditions—constant moisture, abrasive rock, and heavy machinery.

Why Leather? It provides a “thick” barrier against punctures (like jagged rocks) that thin synthetic gloves can’t match.

The Application: Operating heavy drilling equipment, handling ore, and maintenance of underground infrastructure.

  1. Material

You may choose either thick and durable cowhide or soft and comfortable sheepskin according to your application scenario.

  1. Color

The color of the leather and TPR can be customized according to Pantone color codes to meet your preferred color requirements

  1. Performance

Performance can also be customized according to application scenarios.

For winter use, warmth and waterproof functions can be added.

For daily life, touchscreen compatibility can be equipped.

For welding work, flame-retardant performance can be added.
